1793 - A synagogue is built in "Jews' Alley" to replace an older
synagogue.
1850 - Construction begins on a new synagogue in the Poststraße. There are 35 Jewish families living in Kippenheim at that time.
1852 - The synagogue is consecrated.
1911 - First renovation of the synagogue (noted on a plaque in the anteroom).
1938 - The November pogrom: the synagogue is demolished by members of the of the Hitler Youth Regional School in Lahr.
1940 - On October 22nd the remaining Kippenheim Jews are deported to France.
1948 - In the Kippenheim synagogue trial, Nazi party district chairman Burk is sentenced to one month imprisonment.
1950 - The Israelite council of the State of Baden sells the synagogue building to a private person.
1956 - The new owner, the Raiffeisenwarengenossenschaft Kippenheim e.G. (an agricultural cooperative), makes radical construction changes.
1981 - The synagogue is classified as a cultural monument of significance.
1983 - The synagogue is purchased by the Kippenheim town council.
1987 - Exterior renovation is completed.
1996 - "Kippenheim Synagogue Patrons Society" is founded.
1998 - A memorial plaque is mounted in the anteroom commemorating the Kippenheim victims of the Shoa.
